Solar panels are made by photovoltaic cells which collects solar energy, these cells are made of silicon and are installed in a direction where maximum sun light can be received. Sunlight contains energy and when it hits on panels(solar cells), it converts energy into heat. When rays of sun hit silicon cells, negatively charged neutrons found in silicon cells releases from the trapped magnetic field to convert heat into electric current. Small wires on the silicon catch these neutrons and connect in a circuit to form electric current. Protons are found in raw sunlight and they are needed to be removed to convert solar power into electricity. Solar panel removes these protons and move the produced DC electric current towards conversion system attached within the panel.
Here DC current is converted in AC current so that it can fulfill needs at homes or offices.
